Teaching Artist
Katie Walker (she/her) is a NYC-based teaching artist, playwright and dramaturg from Denver, Colorado. She has worked previously as a teaching artist, literacy teacher, dance teacher, childcare professional, puppeteer, and interactive performer. Katie recently completed a temporary role with the development department of London’s National Theatre. She has had her writing developed through the WorkShop Theatre’s Intensive program and NYPL’s Across the Crowded Room program. Katie has worked with a variety of generative artists and theatre companies as a freelance dramaturg. She previously evaluated submissions for the Literary Department at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts and acted for several years as the Literary Manager for Pipedream Productions. Katie is thrilled to be joining the fun with the kids and the team at Treasure Trunk Theatre!
