Teaching Artist
Katie Walker is an NYC-based teaching artist, dramaturg, director and playwright from Denver, Colorado. She has worked with young people as a teaching artist, tap teacher, literacy teacher, childcare professional, puppeteer, and interactive performer. Katie has worked with many theatre companies including The Playwrights Realm, Normal Ave Productions, and the Denver Center for the Performing Arts. She is the long-term dramaturg for Niagara the Musical by Lauren Widner, Ryan McCurdy, and James Rushin. Katie serves as the NYC-Metro Regional VP for the Literary Managers and Dramaturgs of the Americas, and she assists the worldwide theatrical community as a Research Assistant in the Theatre on Film and Tape archive at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Katie is always thrilled to join the fun with the kids and the team at Treasure Trunk Theatre!
