Teaching Artist
Shelly Zimms is a Brooklyn-based Teaching Artist who has worked throughout the boroughs and Long Island, with experience as an Actor, Comedian, Director, and Producer. Her love of the stage started at a young age and her time performing and writing in comedy groups in college (Marymount Manhattan College) taught her about teamwork and community. Shelly later worked as a director for several schools and community theaters giving her the knowledge and courage to work in NYC with more students to help find their voices as artists. She is heavily influenced by laughter, music, and delicious ambiguity!
