Teaching Artist
Elana Hershman (she/her) is a theatre artist and educator who loves making theatre with and for young people. She has over five years of experience teaching in schools and arts organizations and brings a deep commitment to radical joy and accessibility into everything she does. Elana holds a BA in Theatre from UCLA and an MA in Applied Theatre from CUNY’s School of Professional Studies. She specializes in early childhood education and has loved teaching Treasure Trunk Theatre’s Practically Preschool Program for the past three years. Recent creative projects include Into the Unknown, an immersive fairytale that helped Pre-K students navigate their transition to Kindergarten, and See What Grows!, a collaborative storytelling project that brought Kindergarteners to an imaginary garden to explore themes of community care. Theatre is magic, and she can’t wait to share that magic with your little one!
